A walking tour of the Savilahti area, where you will learn about the area’s history, present and future, as well as the works of art that enliven the area.

Walking distance approx. 3km. Dress warmly according to the weather.

As the evening gets dark and when the light works are at their best, we will walk zigzag along the shore of the Lake Kallavesi, past the University, through Savonia and Sakky educational institutions to the front of Luola. We will stop at the artworks and new Circle of Light works along the route, telling stories and facts, including about the founding of Kuopio, the emergence of the area to the present day, i.e. introducing the new developing area of ​​Kuopio.
